Saturdays workshop..

Just look what we did on Saturday morning.  I was teaching Christmas Punch craft -this Chrysanthemum design was the first project of the day -I always begin with the most taxing.  It was my design - but their fantastic work to complete the project.  It incorporates 3 Punch craft Crysanthemeums, Maidenhair Ferns, Berry branches, Holly leaves(all veined & varnished perfectly)...and a little bling and sparkle for Christmas too.  All in all there were over 50 punch craft pieces in this project which took 3 hours to complete - but what fantastic results -well done ladies...and thank you for a lovely Saturday!

Here is another design we produced - I made the 3 Dog Roses from a balloon punch to echo the Dog Roses in this lovely Wreath Stamp (by Jane Gill -Woodware Singles) -which we printed in Vintage Sepia -Versafine.  The Dog Roses were very simple to make. The cream Shrinkles "plaque" was printed using Timber brown Stazon.

this is the detail inside the card.  I like to echo some of the design inside-otherwise opening a card can be a bit of a disappointment when so much is "going-on" on the front -don't you think?

JAPONICAS 12th SPECIAL EDITION WORKSHOP

What a hectic week!  Jane Gill & Francoise Read arrived in Exmouth on Sunday -all packed ready to do workshops on Monday Morning -they travel so light. I bet they only had room in their suitcases for p.j's and a toothbrush as they brought so many examples of their latest designs and workshop products etc!
Vera Moore came out of semi-retirement to do a workshop for us too -we are so lucky she lives locally now.   Mondays workshop was great -again and all 42 students had great results -as you would only expect with such expert tuition of course.
Here are photos of the BLOCKART design I did -this was inspired totally by Jane Gills Blockart from workshops in N Yorkshire last month.  I hope you like it.  The NEW Modelling Film was used for the Christmas Rose print (one of Janes NEW singles stamps).  I tinged the Rose with inkpads -Versamagic T-leaves and Brilliance Galaxy Gold -just to give the Rose a bit more depth -white can look so dead if left plain white can't it?

Cuttlebugged designs

This embossing folder accompanies White Peel-Off trees and some stickles to create some interest to the simplicity of the design.
These tiny "DAZZLER" flowers were a real treat for this simple embossing folder -"Holly Night"..and a touch of Stickles of course.

and another -of Mia with her birds in a cute shaker card design.
I love this embossing folder as a backgound - it is so useful -did you spot it on the stepper card?

New member on our team!

Please join me in welcoming Tracey to our team this week.   As many of you know Theresa moved on last month to pursue her full time career in fostering and we wish her well with her new post.  (Although we will enjoy seeing more of her at workshops now she has a bit more time in her busy schedule!).
Traceys first day yesterday went without a hitch -slowly but surely.  She says she enjoyed it...and she came back today too.   Please don't ask her too many difficult questions just yet, we don't want to scare her off.  She is a lady with a busy household and has brought up 4 chilldren, with 2 extra step children and 3 grandchildren too.  And she looks so young too!   I am sure you will find her personable and helpful instore.

More ideas using "Teardrop Christmas" stamp set

And theres more...

I said there would be - I could not stop once I got started!   Thanks to Francoise Read for designing such a fab NEW set of stamps -what gorgeous shapes!   Because of the solid stamp style the images really are best used with fab coloured inkpads-no colouring-in!?!?  I have mostly used BRILLIANCE  inkpads with them except for one -the Encore metallic Teal.   And enjoy teaming them up with gorgeous Glitters too.  Let your colours run riot!  I did!

There goes summer!

We can now put summer behind us!  We had a fab time at our sons wedding and the new Mrs C will have great fun trying to get her class to pronounce her new name!  All went according to plan, the weather remained dry and bright all weekend for the happy couple and all of our family and friends!  Phew!

So here comes September and with it some great new stamps for Christmas...so I have chosen a NEW set for my offer for September - "Teardrop Christmas" by Francoise Read.   I have teamed it with lots of goodies for £15.95(value = £20.95) and I have used all of them in the following designs...more to come as I am demo-ing them Thursday and Saturday 3rd Sept in Japonica.  The pack will make 20 Christmas cards for you...and you can chose your own colours of Vellums, Glitter & Brilliance Inkpad!

Lots of glitter with double-sided adhesive sheet, Brilliance inkpad printing on vellum, 20 quality cards & envelopes in our pack this month -10 white and 10 ivory in C5 and 6" square.

The top card has red small trees with an ivory vellum overlay -attached with gold ribbon.  The bottom card has Moonlight White Brilliance inkpad printed baubles onto black vellum>  The border has been punched using the Crafty edger -so lovely on the black vellum...and again on the card below...

This last card has some added gems - painted purple with a permanent pen(or peel-off pen!).  Double-sided adhesive (DSA) sheet has been placed over the purple printed tree and Crystal glitter covered it for a very sparkly look! Twinkle, twinkle...

July Offer of the month...

July had me thinking about gardening. Ed is wondering why as I never do any -I just like the flowers and foliage for flower arranging.

However, back to July -I chose a gorgeous set of clear stamps by Stampendous for Japonica's July offer - it is sooo lovley.  I hope you like the things I have done with it.  Cork, raffia and jute feature alongside these stamps as they help to depict the Gardening theme very nicely.  The stamp set is £13.60 and you get FREE jute, raffia and a box of Woodwares flowers to go with it.

Jenny Mayes- Hobby Art designs

Well. here I am again - and I have photographed the card desings we made with Jenny on her visit.  All these stamp sets are in stock...of course.

Jenny Mayes visit to JAPONICA

Here is a bevy of gorgeous workshop ladies at Jennys workshop at end of June.  We made some beautiful scene-it cards incorporating windows and British Countryside.   As ever, Jenny was great fun and full of energy and enthusiasm...but we managed to keep up-just!

We can't Wait for the next workshop -in NOVEMBER.

And in JAPONICA on the SATURDAY...

Jenny had a birthday on that day and many customers wished her a Happy Birthday weekend...and Mike brought her chocs too...and she had some gorgeous cards.

Hello - I'm a very new little blogger - so bear with me if I make a muck-up of this one!  Here goes...
A Punch Craft workshop in June produced some great results - 3 very bright GERBERAS  on a long card - all were FANTASTIC!  Here are the ladies results!
